We are looking for recent graduates to join our TREC Finance Graduate Programme in Zug

About The Role

The TREC Finance Graduate Programme provides a flow of entry level talent into the TR finance organisation. It targets recent graduates for a 24-month programme, providing analyst level job rotations, on the job coaching from carefully chosen managers and the Human Resources team, self-managed career development, job-based training, leadership skill development and an opportunity to gain visibility to many different areas of the business in roles that are global in scope.

The programme consists of a number of rotations within the Finance Function, providing you broad exposure to FP&A, Decision Support, Operations & Technology, Change Program, and other areas within Thomson Reuters. During each rotation, you will have the opportunity to learn in an environment that celebrates performance and views diversity of ideas, backgrounds, and cultures as a valuable business asset. The scope and scale of the business will enable you to take your career in an amazing array of directions limited only by your own initiative, talents, and goals in a career without boundaries.

As part of a wider global early careers’ community, you will network and work with individuals across multiple time zones and geographies. A strong alumni network, mentoring programmes, ongoing feedback, and structured development sessions will enable you to collaborate in your learning and broaden your perspective.

Your Graduate Experience
  • Induction - On joining, TREC graduates come together for a workshop designed to provide an overview of the company, a good understanding of our customers and products
  • Two rotations, each for twelve months, within our Corporate Finance function
During Those Rotations You Will Have The Opportunity To
  • Support the annual planning process by establishing financial targets that drive our company strategy and financials, and working with colleagues to develop guidance, timelines, and information requirements
  • Analyze monthly and quarterly financial results, and effectively communicate trends and key focus areas to leadership to drive decision making
  • Optimize analytical and financial models to improve efficiency and effectiveness of monitoring business performance, and work with finance and technology colleagues in implementing and enhancing financial systems
  • Work closely with the Change Program team to drive results in financial and operational performance, to ensure that overall program goals are met or exceeded
  • Participate in a variety of special projects in Corporate Finance and Decision Support that drive TR-wide financial and strategic objectives
  • Build relationships with all areas of the business and demonstrate the ability to be a successful business partner (Segment Finance, Decision Support, Investor Relations, Corporate Tax, Treasury, etc.)
About You

Essential
  • Recent MBA graduate, preferably in Finance with international background
  • Superior written, oral and presentation skills with an ability to push back and exhibit professional confidence and conviction
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently while managing multiple projects or deliverables
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Keen interest and previous work experience in financial services, tax & accounting, legal or media sectors
  • Demonstrated interest in personal and career development
  • Creativity, curiosity to learn, interest in innovation, and strong interpersonal skills with a desire to work with different cultures
Desired
  • Strong Technology acumen
