Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial) or equivalent practical experience.
• A design portfolio demonstrating design principles for web and/or mobile platforms.

• Excellent analytical, presentation, project management, and communication skills.

As an Interaction Designer, you’ll rely on user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences—from concept to execution. You’ll collaborate with your design partners to leverage and evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative, and inspired products that people love to use.

The Studio Platform team’s mission is to make it fast and easy for teams to build high quality creator experiences. Teams across YouTube use the Studio Platform to design, build, test, and launch at any given moment. To ensure consistency, quality, and maintainability, we provide a comprehensive design system of reusable styles, components, and patterns, maintain specs, documentation, and provide support and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to and maintain the shared design system by identifying common components and patterns, developing specs, and communicating with partner teams
• Partner with research to inform designs based on creator needs and goals as well as partner team needs and goals
• Collaborate effectively across UX, Product, and Engineering to drive the design process
• Work closely with other designers to drive design and product excellence
