The job in brief

As Executive Chef, you are creative and proficient in all aspects of food handling, responsible for planning and directing food preparation and culinary activities.

You are modifying menus or creating new ones that meet the quality standards of our clientele.

The Executive Chef is estimating food requirements and food/labor costs and is responsible for ordering and proper goods receiving.

You will be “the chief” and maintain complete control of the production.

  • Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
  • Modify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards
  • Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs
  • Supervise kitchen staff’s activities
  • Arrange for food and equipment purchases and repairs
  • Arrange meal presentation to customers
  • Recruit and manage kitchen staff
  • Rectify arising problems or complaints
  • Give prepared plates the “final touch”
  • Perform administrative duties and costing with the sales team
  • Comply with nutrition and HACCP sanitation regulations and safety standards of the aviation industry
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Requirements

  • Proven working experience as an Executive Chef
  • Excellent record of kitchen management
  • Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
  • Capable of delegating multiple tasks
  • Communication and leadership skills
  • Keep up with cooking trends and best practices
  • Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, ERP, others)
  • Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks
  • Excellent time management abilities
  • Familiarity with HACCP sanitation and safety regulations of the aviation industry
  • Culinary school diploma preferred
