THE ROLE

The Accounting Project manager will support MSC Group in the implementation of new legal reporting requirements, the integration of new business acquired and/or created and improve process efficiency. For this position applicants should have a strong accounting and ideally controlling knowledge with demonstrable experience (minimum 5 years) in a leadership role and prior exposure to IFRS accounting standards. Applicants should also have an affinity with IT, prior knowledge of ERP (SAP preferred) and EPM/CPM tool (SAP FC preferred). A fluency in English is mandatory as well as a good knowledge of French is an asset.

Identify areas for improvement and optimize financial processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and drive automation and digitization.
• Drive the mindset change by effectively communicating the vision, benefits, and objectives of different initiatives.
• Develop and execute training programs and communication strategies, to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and systems.

YOUR IMPACT

As Accounting Project Manager you will:

Collaborate closely with finance leaders, business partners, and other cross-functional teams to understand their requirements, gather feedback and align with their needs.
• Ensure group standards implementation and/ or define new group standards if needed.

YOUR BACKGROUND

• Bachelor/Master in a finance/accounting related field
• Significant experience within Group accounting or Group reporting team of a complex, multinational corporation.
• Continuous learning mindset and passionate about processes and technology
• Success-oriented, self-motivated, and ready to take on responsibility
• Problem solving attitude and ability to take decisions independently to ensure proper solutions get delivered
• Excellent management skills - ability to handle multiple priorities, organise work and meet deadlines
• Strong team spirit and proven ability to work in and with multi-site teams
• Good communication to ensure proper influence in the organization towards projects delivery
• Good understanding of accounting systems
• Good understanding of Reporting & consolidation systems.
• Strong command of spoken and written English (must be able to lead discussions)
