The Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship is a non-profit institution based in Geneva which champions contemporary craftspeople worldwide with the aim of promoting a more human, inclusive and sustainable future. The Foundation seeks to highlight the connections between craft, the wider arts and the design world. Its mission is to both celebrate and preserve craftsmanship and its diversity of makers, materials and techniques, by increasing craft’s everyday recognition and its viability as a professional path for the next generations. From engaging educational programmes to its signature digital project the Homo Faber Guide and international exhibition the Homo Faber Event, the Foundation is fostering a cultural movement centered on master artisans.

Main responsibilities


Responsible for the efficient functioning of the office through a range of administrative tasks:

  • Answer’s phone, welcomes guests, conference room bookings
  • Organises business lunches with guests and follow-up after lunches
  • Books transports, accommodations and restaurants
  • Takes responsibility for the upkeep of the office (conference rooms, kitchen, coffee area, and office administrative systems such as printers, phones)
  • In charge of mail, correspondence (DHLs) and other logistics
  • Maintains office supplies and inventory, follows up with orders and external suppli-ers
  • Team coordination and communication
  • Supports on team expenses processing & filing (team, external consultants)
  • Filing and archiving, support on documents, charts, recap’ preparation
  • Available for any additional demand or project

Homo Faber Event:

  • Coordination of logistics for event: headquarter/warehouse - event in Venice
  • Coordination of the external office spaces/conference rooms
  • Coordination on contacts signatures and filing (Artisans)
  • Coordination on travels and accommodations (Artisans)
  • Miscellaneous: recap, charts, follow-up

Required Skills


  • A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar position
  • Previous experience in administration or hospitality preferred
  • Service oriented, organized, and structured, collaborative spirit
  • Resourceful, energetic and capable of multi-tasking
  • Ability to identify and handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Proficiency in standard software applications including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Fluent in French and English (Italian is an asset)
