Join our team in Geneva as an Associate Director-HR. Reporting to the Associate VP HR Germany hub, you will play a key role in driving the HR function in Switzerland, developing local HR strategy to ensure a high-quality working environment which builds upon our inclusive and diverse culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage, coach and develop team of HR specialists
  • Act as a trusted advisor and partner to the leadership teams in Geneva to shape the organization and cultivate and develop a ‘Growth Mindset’
  • Develop effective and impactful HR solutions aligned to business strategy, leveraging Lilly global processes
  • Coach and guide team leaders on all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including talent management, succession planning, performance management, learning and development, and compensation and benefits
  • Provide guidance and input on business changes, organization structure and workforce planning
  • Support leaders in dealing with complex and sensitive employee relations matters
  • Identify effective hiring strategies and support with recruitment activities including assessment, interviewing, and selection advice
  • Develop and implement on-boarding programming to facilitate learning, growth, and development of new talent
  • Strengthen and maximize relationships with universities. Ensure presence at appropriate fairs and events to generate a diverse pool of future talent from within Switzerland
  • Analyse survey trends and metrics to develop solutions and programmes to cultivate and advance a winning culture
  • Partner with our C&B consultants to regularly benchmark our C&B programs to attract, and retain talent
  • Ensure oversight of Health Safety and Environment programme
  • Collaborate and exchange with the Germany Hub HR and global HR colleagues on key HR projects, trends and implementation of global programmes.

Candidate Profile
  • Strong academic background; Master’s degree/MBA in business or organization development/HR an advantage
  • A well-rounded, successful track record as a leader, with 5 to 7 years of leadership experience; experience in the pharmaceutical or FMCG sector in Switzerland
  • Proven ability to manage operational HR as well as to think strategically
  • Excellent knowledge of HR systems e.g., Workday, Success Factors is an asset
  • Strong working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including HR administration and payroll, performance management, talent reviews, talent acquisition, training and development, learning plan management and employee relations
  • Strong data management and analytical expertise, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Proven experience of managing change in a fast-moving and innovative organisation.
  • Autonomous and self-motivated, with initiative and an ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency
  • A natural networker, who puts people first, engages well with employees as well as leaders and builds excellent relationship at all levels throughout the company
  • Strong knowledge of Swiss labour law and Ethics and Compliance
  • Prior experience of internal investigatory processes and how to ensure outcomes are fair, consistent, and compliant with company policies, applicable laws and regulations
  • Fluent in English, French and German. Swiss German a plus.
