Alentis Therapeutics is developing breakthrough treatments for fibrotic and rare diseases and associated cancers. The company’s lead candidates are monoclonal antibodies that are highly selective for exposed and non-junctional Claudin-1 (CLDN1). Non-junctional CLDN1 is a previously unexploited target with a unique mechanism of action that plays a key role in the pathology of kidney, lung and liver fibrosis, as well as solid tumors.Alentis` lead therapeutic program, ALE.F02, has finished recruitment into a Ph1a study in healthy volunteers and is currently being developed for the treatment of advanced fibrotic diseases. ALE.C04 will enter clinical studies in oncology in 2023.TasksPartnering & business development:
  • Keep a track record of ongoing external activities (pharma and investors)
  • Support business development activities including, CDAs and coordination of BD discussions
  • Plan coverage of international medical and partnering conferences for BD meetings with targeted companies
  • Triage of potential partners
  • Initial contact with external companies
  • Coordination of BD meetings
  • Support the team in the preparation of slide decks for BD discussions
  • Prepare slides to summarize BD ongoing activities for the leadership team
  • Support the team in maintaining the Alentis documentation system up to date for investor and partnering discussions
  • Support the leadership team with ad hoc requests
Competitive intelligence & insights & analyses
  • Support global competitive intelligence activities including tracking of competitor data release
  • Monitor the market trend in the therapeutic area of interest
  • Ensure timely dissemination of critical information of the fast-evolving competitive landscape and implications for Alentis
  • Collaborate with vendors on key deliverables including medical congress coverage and landscapes
  • Perform and deliver ad-hoc analyses as needed (e.g., competitors, diseases overview, market research, and landscapes)
RequirementsQualifications & Experience
  • PhD in life sciences, medicine, or equivalent combination of scientific and business education/experience
  • 1+ year of relevant experience required, including consulting or analytical experience in the pharma, biotech, or related industry
  • Experience in synthesizing findings from multiple sources and developing insights to enable strategic decision making
  • Business development, market research and competitive intelligence experience is a plus
  • Valid work permit for Switzerland is mandatory
Skills:
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
  • Excellent power point skills
  • Demonstrated experience with secondary research in databases and analytics
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of information and generate insights for the leadership team
  • Self-motivated drive, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and to handle multiple, competing priorities
  • Demonstrated problem-solving mindset
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with different stakeholders
