Alentis Therapeutics, the Claudin-1 Company, is on a mission to treat cancer and reverse fibrosis. To this end, we are rapidly advancing a clinical pipeline of anti-Claudin-1 monoclonal antibodies. Our team is committed to unlocking the broad potential of our therapeutic target Claudin-1 and bringing much-needed medicines to patients suffering from solid tumors as well as kidney, liver, and lung fibrosis.

Tasks

For our fast-growing team, we are looking for a Senior Scientist, Translational Research (100%) reporting to the Director Translational Research.

The candidate will be responsible for internal project management, working cross-functionally (internal and outsourced activities) to develop and operationalize projects on our next-generation anti-CLDN1 antibodies. This position provides an opportunity to contribute to building a pipeline of promising biotherapeutics for the treatment of life-threatening diseases.

  • Liaise with multi-disciplinary activities (Bioinformatics, Pharmacology, CMC…) to drive drug discovery projects forward. Member of a team focused on delivering all aspects of pharmacology support.
  • Bring theoretical and practical expertise in the translational research field (including Antibody Drug Conjugate) to establish assay systems and deliver datasets that will have a direct impact on the drug discovery process and pipeline.
  • Support monitoring of the outsourced activities in CROs.
  • Foster innovation in the team and contribute to new projects and approaches.
  • Ensure a high-level scientific standard is maintained for internal projects.
  • Ensure smooth communication and interactions with other teams and all stakeholders.
Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Natural Science.
  • At least 3 years of industrial experience in biotech/pharma or CRO in drug development.
  • Highly motivated and independent Scientist with experience in extracellular matrix biology with a track record of scientific excellence in in vitro models.
  • Experience in the Antibody Drug Conjugate field is highly preferred.
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills, able to work efficiently in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead external collaborations.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Ability to write reports and accurate records of scientific data.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, written and verbal.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and carry out new and complex tasks.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, small company environment.
  • Valid work permit for CHF or EU nationalty only.
