Since the end of 2022, we have started developing a new MSC Air Cargo solution in response to customer demand and as a complementary service to its container shipping solutions.

To support the growth of MSC Air Cargo activities, we are looking for a highly motivated and hands-on Business Financial Analyst who will be responsible for the business controlling, credit control, voyage calculation and provide analysis and visibility to the management.

The position will be located in Geneva (Switzerland) and will report to the Finance Controlling Manager.

YOUR IMPACT

As a Business Financial Analyst, you will oversee:

Business Controlling:

• Anticipate, analyze, and control operational costs.
• Identify new cost drivers and potential cost savings or recoveries.
• Assist in optimizing and automating the cost control function while maintaining a consistent approach to reporting.
• Feed the analytical accounting for AP booking by the accounting team.
• Participate in the design, implementation and enforcement of the budget process.
• Run Ad hoc profitability analysis and financial forecasts for operational decision making.

Credit Control

• Proactively participate in setting up credit control standards and processes
• Regular monitoring and remedial actions.

Management Reports, Forecasting, and budgeting

• Weekly update of the Voyage Calculation report for the Management.
• Development and automation of the Voyage Calculation tool.
• Working on revenue forecasting based on internal data and market data.
• Weekly and monthly forecast of incomes and costs to produce Voyage Calculation.
• Assist production of the full year budget and P&L modeling in fast growing environment.

Month end closing and Ad hoc and Projects

• Control the accruals in relationship with Group accounting on Monthly basis.
• Support on implementation of new IT solutions with the business and Accounting.

YOUR BACKGROUND

• You have 5 to 7 years’ experience as a Business Controller or Financial Controller

• Controlling relevant set of skills and previous experience in:

• Financial controlling or data analysis,
• Profitability analysis and forecasting,
• Reporting (internal – management accounts)

• Excel is one of your favourite tools and you are very comfortable using it.
• English mandatory, French and/or Italian a plus.
• SAP and power BI knowledge are a plus.
• Previous experience in a similar industry is a plus.
• You are meticulous and rigorous.
• You are dynamic, proactive and comfortable working in an ever-changing environment of a startup business.
