Our Career Start Program offers an ideal platform for graduates who want to experience life at the heart of the financial services industry. You start your main assignment in your business area and rotate to another department for 4-6 months so you can experience different positions, gain insight into a broad spectrum of roles, build new skills and develop crucial networks across the bank. The program offers a combination of practical experience, shadowing days, structured on- and off-the-job training, stimulating challenges and evaluation activities. You benefit from the opportunity to seamlessly transfer to an exciting junior position after your Career Start Program.

Start date: 01.03.2023 or upon agreement
Duration: 12-18 months
Academic requirements: Recently completed bachelor’s, or master’s degree from a university or university of applied sciences

Your field of responsibility
You will hold a meaningful and dynamic credit risk role within the Central Lombard Group of the Swiss Bank (SB) and Wealth Management (WM) divisions. There will be close collaboration and interaction with cross-functional teams and internal partners such as Relationship Managers, First line of Defense, Sales and Trading, Operations, Legal and Compliance and assessment of collateralized (Lombard) transactions across all client segments. The credit analysis is to include the full range of risk assessment such as exposure, collateral (e.g. concentrations across all asset classes and derivatives) and transactions featuring non-standard counterparty types or bespoke (cross-pledge) credit structures along with Legal, Cross-Border and Reputational Risk considerations. You will also help to manage and monitor a sophisticated trading and operating companies’ portfolio across different client segments including HNWI-/UHNWI on- and offshore clients of a dedicated Private Banking Market Area and prepare credit requests for Senior Credit Management, be actively involved and support risk-related projects and New Business Initiatives.

Your qualifications and skills

  • Recently completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree from a university or university of applied sciences, ideally in Banking & Finance – CFA or FRM qualification would be an advantage
  • You are passionate about international Finance- and Economic markets and developments
  • Proficient in English, further language skills would be an advantage
  • You are a critical thinker with excellent analytical skills who tackles challenges in a structured manner and proposes meaningful solutions
  • You are able to produce high quality, accurate work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • You communicate and interact effectively with demanding internal partners
  • You enjoy working collaboratively in a team but also independently on your own initiative
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive culture and value diverse perspectives
