About the role
Reporting into the local Zurich modelling lead, the primary purpose of the role is to provide tailored risk pricing, to support and enhance our underwriting capabilities on pricing requests, bringing clarity, transparency and understanding to the users and clients of catastrophe modelling. Additional roles include assisting with the quarterly portfolio roll up and contributing to various projects to further enhance our analytical capabilities and efficiencies.
Your responsibilities
  • Providing analytical support to underwriters throughout client quoting process and providing narrative support for all catastrophe modelled figures whilst ensuring all appropriate checks are carried out
  • Helping facilitate contact between the underwriters and the modelling team with queries relating to the pricing of accounts
  • Building working relationships with the underwriting team
  • Turning around all modelling requests to meet deadlines in a professional and accurate manner by ensuring appropriate checks are carried out
  • Assist the team with portfolio roll-up
  • Being proactive in your own development
  • Assisting with projects to enhance our analytical capabilities and efficiencies
  • Performing ad hoc analytics
Your profile
  • Degree successfully completed in Natural Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or in a similar discipline
  • Coding experience in one language preferred (SQL, Python)
  • Knowledge in the following is an asset: Databases, GIS, Microsoft Power Platform
  • Good communication skills, teamwork and relationship building skills
  • Good self-management and time management discipline
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Reliable, proactive, independent, attention to detail
  • Excellent English, written and spoken
