Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Zürich, Switzerland, Traila concentrates on the development and industrialisation of advanced rail technology.In the role of Controls-/ Automation Engineer, you will be working with a highly motivated cross-functional R&D team, consisting of mechanical, simulation and software engineers, in order to ensure the development of a cutting-edge technology, and build the company’s first industrially certified product.TasksYour Responsibilities
  • Work closely and in collaboration with the Control, Simulation and Electronic Engineers, developing specifications and the subsequent Software/Hardware control solution requirements
  • Communicate with the test engineers to help support efficient testing requirements
  • Communicate and coordinate with control HW & SW suppliers to specify and acquire quotes for commercial solutions required for the Traila system
  • Support the integration and debug processes for the project, as required and on schedule
  • Understand and execute all company standard operating procedures related to a safe machine design and build process.
  • Field testing of the system and data evaluation
RequirementsQualifications
  • Degree in electrical engineering, computer science or mechanical engineering (BEng / MEng)
  • Experience in industrial automation using PLC’s for development of control systems
  • Strong skills in MATLAB/Simulink and data analysis , other languages such as Python or C# are a plus.
  • Knowledge in developing application for embedded systems using C/C++
  • Ability to work across many different platform architectures and situations, including learning new programming languages and platforms when needed
  • Interdisciplinary knowledge in electronics, software, mechanics
