As a Corporate Event Manager, organise IOC corporate events locally and abroad.

Main responsibilities
  • Coordinate small- to large-scale events.
  • Interact as Event Specialist in specific functional areas related to Olympic Games projects.
  • Manage specific projects as per the global meeting calendar of the IOC Corporate Events & Services department.
  • Develop, produce and deliver projects from bid process/first proposal right up to the staging of the event by:
  • Coordinating all or any of the project-related activities, such as online registration, arrival and departure, transport, accreditation, welcome services, accommodation, meeting rooms, IT, logistics, F&B, events and hospitality activities with all parties involved.
  • Set, communicate and maintain timelines and priorities for every topic within a project.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships to ascertain and monitor their precise requirements and evolution of needs.
  • Negotiate event venues and hotel contracts.
  • Manage supplier relationships.
  • Monitor project budgets and contracting process from start to finish.
  • Manage administrative tasks and project-related correspondence.
  • Ensure that the IOC’s interests, especially in the fields of reputation and brand protection, are properly represented and preserved.
  • Provide top-quality customer service and state-of-the-art event operations.
  • Collect and consolidate post-event financial aspects, statistics and recommendations.
  • Provide optimum professional and personal contributions to the IOC Corporate Events & Services team.
  • Assist colleagues within the IOC Corporate Events & Services team with their respective workload and activities.

Our requirements
  • Higher education, hotel school/tourism training or equivalent.
  • 5+ years’ experience in the field of international events management.
  • Excellent knowledge of English and French (preferably bilingual), other languages being an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge and command of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, event-related IT solutions, Outlook and the internet.
  • Excellent sense of planning and organisation.
  • Good analytical and summary skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Strong mastery of budgets.
  • Creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Attention to detail, good at multitasking.
  • Ability to take initiative and to act independently.
  • Good team player, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
