Proclinical are recruiting a Development Engineer for a medical technology and devices organisation. This role is on a contract basis and is located in Basel. The client is focused on distributing pioneering novelties that are viewed as industry benchmarks and unruly technological advances.

Responsibilities
  • Organise the design handover actions such as production scale-up.
  • Apply amenability to guidelines and internal procedures.
  • In root cause investigations, you will serve as the technical lead.
  • Interpret user requirements/market contributions into technical conditions.
  • The ideal candidate will serve as the general technical lead on challenging, cross-functional development projects under contemplation of the design control procedure.
  • Assess technical resolutions and performance of viable studies.
  • Organise authentication and corroboration actions such as design output, verification and validation.
  • Analyse, coordinate and apply product / process modifications such as developments in quality / product usage and features, client grievances, simplifications, cost cutbacks etc.
  • Constant technical product observations such as products, mechanisms, procedures.
  • Guarantee project reports render to quality standards.
Skills & Requirements
  • Educated to a degree level in mechanical engineer, bioengineering or a similar discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar field, for example: in the development of medical devices.
  • Familiarity with development and manufacturing prosthetic resolutions, ideally in a dental area such as experience within a dental laboratory.
  • Experience serving as a technical project lead in development projects.
  • Know-how of suitable standards and guidelines such as MDD/MDR, FDA, ISO as well as design control procedures.
  • Acquaintance with product development, manufacturing and testing using specific development apparatuses such as FMEA, DoE, tolerance evaluation, assessment of mechanical properties, statistical analysis.
  • Thinks analytically and resolution focused.
  • A self-motivated individual with the self-development and novelty interest.
  • Client-oriented with the ability to form and maintain trustful relations.
  • Influencing capabilities with a consciousness to inspire others to the best of their abilities.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • Exhibit a personal and professional morality towards the company’s values that are promoted by various initiatives in order to assist with diversity such as power-up.
