Glencore International AG has an immediate opening for an internship in the Digital Innovation Team with focus on Business Intelligence and application creation. As a leader in the commodities and mining sector the opportunity will present candidates with a diversity of data challenges that require innovative problem-solving skills. From sub-second telemetry signals to monthly financial processes there are limitless options for creativity and efficiency. The optimal candidate will be able to take advantage of tools such as PowerBI, Power Apps, SQL etc. to create reporting and workflows to optimize how people work and relief pain points.The main tasks and responsibilities include:

• Improving current reporting
• Learning and discovering new digital solutions for process pain points
• Supporting the team in several of their administrational tasks

The ideal candidate

• Self-starter, self-managed, quick learner with a growth mindset
• Strong technical abilities with high problem solving analytical, and deductive reasoning aptitude
• Open to and capable of learning a lot of new tools and skills quickly
• Excited about technology

Qualifications and requirements:

• Knowledge of PowerBI or alternatively strong Excel background
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform capabilities
• Financial and/or mining knowledge desired but not mandatory
• Fluent English (spoken and written)
• Holder of a Swiss work permit of CH/EU passport holder
