The Executive Director of Patient Engagement (PE) Country partner is responsible to drive the PE Strategy Implementation and 5 DP Deployment (Heat map and progress tools) at the country level and in the regional cross functional teams, ensuring common standards and alignment across Regions. The ED of PE Country partner is also responsible to anticipate ad ensure regional trends are integrated in the Global PE strategy.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the PE Center of Excellence (CoE) and the PE Therapeutic Area heads to drive the PE Strategy Implementation and 5DP deployment at the country level, ensuring the regulatory and compliance standards are kept.
  • Establish, maintain strategic relationships with relevant regional and international patient organizations acting as primary contact
  • Represent the PE in the relevant LTs when delegated by the Int. Head
  • Collaborate in the most relevant Regional cross-functional team to make sure the PE Strategy is implemented, and the patients’ needs, insights and perspectives are embedded in the Regional Onco/Pharma Strategy.
  • Build a country’s network and dialogue on common PE challenges and opportunities to identify possible solutions
  • Design a systematic bi-directional communication between Global PE TA and Countries to align on priorities, needs and collaboration
  • Drive and support functional development and a sustainable international community of PE associates in regions and the countries

Minimum Requirements
  • 15 years of experience in Multinationals and 10 years in PE combined with experiences in Marketing, Medical, Public Affairs, local, regional experience in leading teams, ideally experience in variety of HC systems.
  • Ability to translate strategic priorities/imperatives into process and operational excellence
  • Expert in matrix management and influencing skills to manage complex projects with strong understanding of the Novartis global organization
  • Profound understanding of the patient community needs and expectations and ethical approaches to patient engagement
  • Expert for Patient Engagement Strategy and 5DPs
  • Deep understanding of the medicines life cycle, health care systems, pharma industry, patient community and organizational systems set up
  • Mobilize and cultivate high performing teams through integration of values and behaviors; grow team through feedback and coaching
  • Strong patient acumen, agile, value-adding, shared value creation, closely linked to business priorities
