Or customer is a global commodity warehousing and logistics company that operates a worldwide network of port and warehouse facilities, positioned in the strategic locations of the global commodity supply chains. The Swiss local and group finance function is managed out of Zug, Switzerland.

To strengthen the finance team in Zug, we are looking for a motivated Accountant with a keen interest in financial accounting and management reporting.

Financial Accountant

The main tasks and responsibilities include:
  • End-to-end responsibility for the Accounting of group subsidiaries
  • In charge for the subsidiaries monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing process
  • Monthly management reporting and analysis of actuals versus budget and forecast
  • Involvement in yearly budgeting and rolling forecasting
  • Preparation of yearly statutory and group audit work
  • Provide support and guidance to the subsidiaries
  • Contribute to local and group finance Process Improvement Projects
  • Support Zug Office Administration and HR processes
Qualifications and requirements:
  • Some years of hands-on experience in owning and managing the Financial Accounting Process of subsidiaries with keen interest in Financial Controlling, Planning and Audit
  • Knowledge of Swiss GAAP and IFRS Accounting Standards
  • Working knowledge in ERP systems, Microsoft Dynamics experience is an asset
  • Advanced German and English language skills, both written and spoken
  • A self-starting and enthusiastic personality who is agile and resilient with a positive attitude and work ethic
  • A good communicator that feels comfortable in interacting with stakeholders across various cultures and hierarchies
  • A hands-on worker with strong sense of responsibility and ownership, attentive to detail and a flair numbers and the stories they tell
