GETP – Global Early Talent Program in Finance and Accounting

As a Global Early Talent Program in Finance & Accounting participant, you will get hands-on responsibility from the start. You will rapidly build your skills, network and experience through a series of exciting, cross-functional, and international assignments. The exceptional people you work with, the challenging projects you tackle, and the global scale of our business will give the experience you need to build a world-class career in finance. Throughout the Trainee program, you will receive guidance and mentorship enabling you to acquire valuable insights and feedback on your assignments. The program starts 1.10.2024 and is divided into three parts: 1) First nine-month assignment in your home country (Finland) 2) Second six-month assignment abroad to get an overview of ABB Marine & Ports operations in a different environment, expanding your network 3) Last nine-month assignment back to the home country, where you will deepen your knowledge During the program we will take the participants on a leadership competency development journey. The last part will also be the time where the participants start to look for their final position, to be started after the end of the program.

Your responsibilities

  • Depending on the assignment you will be in, most common responsibility can include tasks within Operational (Accounting and Reporting) and Project Controlling and Finance
  • Implement performance and profitability analysis by Business Line
  • Lead a cost optimization project in a large factory
  • Be involved in the improvement of the costing process
  • Monthly project controlling and reporting activities
  • Create financial reports for the Management Team
  • Implementation of dashboards and verification of profitability by product line and location
  • Database management
  • Cost analysis of products, manufacturing parts and revision of project margins
  • Coordination of information with different stakeholders

Your background

  • You are a recent graduate (preferably Master’s level) in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration
  • You are familiar working with Excel and like to analyze
  • You are meticulous as a person and like working with details
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • You are curious, resilient and open to new ideas
  • You enjoy working in a global environment, in a large corporation
