IT Systems and Network Engineer

Permanent contract - 100%/ Glion, Switzerland

You are customer-oriented; have strong planning, documenting and organizational skills; you are able to make decisions and assess priorities, to write clear and concise documents. You have a University level degree in IT and/or judge equivalent, you are Cisco certified. You have 10 years working experience in IT with over 5 years in a similar position, proven experience in managing complex IT Infrastructure environment with different distant locations and in managing a virtual server’s environment and hosting.

You have the following IT skills and knowledge:

  • Windows servers configuration and management in a virtual environment
  • Unix / Linux server’s configuration and management knowledge
  • Network Management (Switches, Routers, Wi-Fi...)
  • Network security management (Firewall, Proxy ...)
  • Telecommunications experience (TCP / IP ...)
  • Lotus Notes & Office 365 server
  • Protection products (antivirus configuration)
  • Microsoft environment, server and client
  • MacOS and other Apple devices
  • Active Directory / Policy’s / Certificates / RIS

As IT Systems and Network Engineer, your main missions will be:

  • Make decisions on the implementation and maintenance of the network, virtualization appliances and related infrastructure overlayers
  • Set up, for all subsidiaries and worldwide campuses, the necessary and proper IT actions
  • Identify and implement corrective actions in case of a deviation from the initial infrastructure project
  • Ensure the operational integrity of all hardware, operating systems, and core components of Swiss servers as well as the computer network and its components
  • Assist the service desk team regarding usage of hardware and software applications; assist and supervise the different suppliers on their activities related to infrastructure operational activities and infrastructure projects
  • Manage the IT infrastructure documentation; install and upgrade PC / Server / Network hardware and software
  • Manage, monitor, make improvements and provide technical support for the different Network components
  • Project Management and capacity planning; maintain close relationship with different suppliers
