About the Role


You will be refreshing a talent strategy that’ll help Swiss Re maximize the value we derive from our people while also empowering them to continuously develop and grow. You could help lift our performance by strengthening feedback and bringing in further rigour in how we manage performance. All of this, while choosing where and how you work.


You will be an SVP-level individual contributor role with a mandate to revamp and re-design our approach towards Talent Management based on our business strategy, the best practices in the market and the latest HR trends. You will also own Performance Management at Swiss Re, reinforcing and improving our existing practices.


Key responsibilities:

  • As a senior expert, you will design an appropriate talent strategy based on business needs
  • You will influence and guide our leadership and our colleagues in HR, into supporting and executing the talent strategy and group standards and bringing it to life across Swiss Re
  • Leveraging your deep experience and expertise on the topic, you will own, govern and be accountable for succession planning, talent assessment, talent mobility and talent development effortsimpacting 14,000 people
  • As the subject matter expert (SME), you will also work closely with our broader team to create, re-design, standardize and continually improve talent- and performance-related processes, standards, controls, and practices,whiledesigning impactful solutionsbased on the best practices in the industry
  • Ensure that we lift our performance, develop, and grow through a simple, standardized, and rigorous performance management approach
  • You will work with our broader team to re-design career growth, develop a common skills taxonomy and find thebest technology solutions to support a seamless talent experience for our people

We’re People Development (PCD), a part of Group Human Resources at Swiss Re. We’re the strategic consulting, design, and transformation arm of HR. We leverage thought leadership and the latest research to design and enhance our people and culture strategy and own a connected suite of processes and solutions as a lean, friendly, diverse, and global team.


About You


As an experienced consultant who has led or been part of lean HR CoEs, you’re a naturally execution oriented professional. Developing innovative people practices stimulates you, and you are great with prioritization and quick in delivering results. In addition, you’re a confident communicator who can engage with senior and executive leadership in person, in writing, and via online meetings.


Essentials

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in global HR CoEs, with a strong background in topics such as performance management, talent management, learning, organisational development etc.
  • Ability to navigate a global organisation, and quickly build relationships within the team and beyond, with significant stakeholder management experience
  • Strong language skills – top-notch written (and spoken) English is a requirement
  • Experience taking topics from ideation to executive proposals to a functioning strategy at pace, and guiding its implementation across a global organisation
  • A sound understanding of progressive talent and performance management trends, and technology supporting and driving them
  • A background in collaboratively working with and influencing global teams of HR Partners, SMEs, IT, etc., while having little to no direct reports
  • Excellent presentation skills (authoring and presenting) are a major plus
