ABB Electrification Distribution Solutions (ELDS) is a global leader in medium voltage electrical components and digital devices, medium voltage switchgear, energy systems and digital systems.

We are looking for a Local Division Controller (Senior Business Controller) for our business in Switzerland who will be acting as a business partner to the Local Business Manager and a key member of the local management team. In this role, you will support effective business decisions by monitoring, analyzing and interpreting financial data. You will translate business strategy into plans and establish measurable targets, evaluate the financial implications of various strategic decisions, identify risks and recommend actions.

Your responsibilities
  • Act as first contact in finance and controlling related questions for Local Management as well as Regional Finance and Global Product Group Controllers
  • Leading planning processes like budget setting, forecasting and financial data preparation and analysis
  • Monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities including management reporting, analyzing and commenting on deviations and support in corrective actions
  • Performing business controlling tasks and lead controlling including monthly project reviews
  • Actively participate in risk reviews for new tenders and support effective commercial and risk management in the sales process
  • Participate in internal and external audits
  • Identify efficiency saving potentials and work on continuous improvements in related fields initiatives
  • Manage and continuously develop local controlling team
Your background
  • Degree in Business Administration/Accounting/Economics or relevant field from university or Swiss advanced federal diploma
  • Minimum about 5 years’ experience in relevant finance and business controlling roles
  • Strong project controlling or engineering-to-order / manufacturing controlling experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Finance processes and with strong business acumen
  • Strong knowledge and experience with SAP
  • Great attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to multitask
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly proactive and result-driven attitude
  • Fluent in English (required) and German (preferred)
