Portfolio Manager Petcare (m/f/d)

The purpose of this role is to drive portfolio innovation, profitability and simplicity using segment catalogues, set pricing architecture as well as optimize working media & ROI on the portfolio. The portfolio includes Cat brands (Whiskas, Exelcat and KiteKat).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead development of Portfolio plan over three years deploying regional learnings to drive growth (NSV, RSV, HHP, market shares) and value creation (mix, MAC) across the cluster
  • Set 3 year SKU plan for given area of responsibility
  • Map out share wins/losses over three years to establish Mars growth corridor as part of the Business of Tomorrow planning process
  • Analyze market/segment/battlefield data to identify Portfolio opportunities and/or competitive threats. Prepare portfolio initiatives related to the agreed long term growth platforms
  • Accountable for the SKU list for given portfolio – including portfolio complexity, channel specific items, innovation/renovation programme
  • Manage initiatives through the stage & gate process including post-launch evaluation of innovations to capture key learnings and correct performance
  • Manage regional process related to portfolio changes
  • Attend regional calls and share regional strategies/best practices within the cluster
  • Lead flywheel analysis as part of annual planning process and ad hoc as required
  • Works in close partnership with Category and Activation Teams to develop powerful Trade Stories for key Portfolio initiatives
  • Plan Media through ICP process with ROI; manage and optimize advertising budget

Qualifications

  • Bachelor/Master´s degree in Economics or similar education
  • 2-4 years of professional experience in Marketing / Customer Marketing, preferably in the FMCG area
  • Pronounced entrepreneurial thinking and acting as well as strong analytical skills
  • A high degree of Action orientation and a focus on results
  • An open minded personality who is eager to learn and develop
  • Fluent in German and English is a must, further language skills in French are a plus
