Responsibilities

In this client facing role, you will be responsible for gathering technical data relevant to the customers energy systems. You will be required to analyse and produce plausible results based on quantitative feasibility studies related to our integrated hybrid systems and solutions. Your significant, hands on experience of using 1D-CFD, on a daily basis, allows you to model, integrate, and run the complete system in a virtual environment. This challenging and critical position will have a substantial impact for decisions that will have long term implications in the decarbonisation of the shipping industry. In addition you can satisfy the following list of requirements.

  • Gather, understand, analyse, and document operational and business requirements
  • Perform quantitative feasibility studies, using GT-SUITE simulation tool
  • Convey the value proposition of WinGD solutions offerings to customers
  • Support the development of technical and commercial offers, reflecting specific customers’ needs
  • Contribute to initiatives related to standardisation, pricing strategies, and updating of the solutions offerings portfolio
  • Assume a Cross-functional role, interfacing with Simulation department, Application engineering, Sales, and Development.

Requirements

  • Master’s (or higher) degree in Engineering
  • Advanced experience in 1D-CFD simulation (e.g. GT-SUITE)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Knowledge in the field of electric power generation and conversion
  • General knowledge of internal combustion engines (2-stroke preferred)
  • Knowledge of hybrid energy system design is appreciated
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Basic project management skills
  • Team player, yet able to work independently
  • Enjoying working in multicultural environment
