The Procurement Manager - New Product Introduction (NPI) is responsible for the coordination of procurement for new product development projects of Sonova Communications and Consumer Hearing Business.

Your tasks

  • Procurement of goods and services on economic terms and with minimal risk with a focus on technical materials and services
  • Optimal use of purchasing potential for the benefit of the entire procurement and sales processes as well as the supply chain
  • Main aspects are target costing (R&D support), bundling of demand, supplier management, commodity and MRP management of specific goods and materials
  • Ensuring compliance with the material and supplier strategies defined by Corporate Procurement in product development
  • Active participation in product development projects (close exchange with project managers, advice for all procurement issues)
  • Safe process and product quality including follow-up on quality issues
  • Conducting negotiations with suppliers
  • Actively support product adaptations to reduce costs and/or improve quality
  • Lifecycle management from the logistical perspective of existing products
  • Monitoring and release of import consignments (EVV)
  • Collecting, controlling and analysing key figures
  • Maintain material master data in SAP
  • Approval of invoices and WE/RE
  • Procurement of CAPEX/investment goods for the site
  • Deputy function of the colleague in Procurement in Murten

Your profile

  • Technical or commercial basic vocational training with further education in Procurement, SCM, Logistics or related discipline
  • 4-5+ years of relevant work experience in a comparable role in an international and global environment
  • Professional experience in procurement in the industrial environment focusing on electronic components, enclosures, marketing materials and services is a must
  • Strong price and contract negotiations skills
  • Capable of establishing sustainable relationships with partners
  • Solution oriented, stress resistant and entrepreneurial personality
  • Fluent English and German skills both written and spoken, any other language is an asset
  • Excellent MS Office and SAP skills
