Working in the procurement and logistics team in Smart Buildings in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, you will be deciding on and implementing plans for local sourcing to achieve business targets and assist regional and global sourcing initiatives.

Your responsibilities
  • Implements effective sourcing strategies within subcontracting category in line with business strategy ensuring that the supply base/suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements.
  • Manages planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets.
  • Minimizes risk regarding quality and financial exposure by buying in accordance with quality and commercial procedures and in accordance with Company guidelines.
  • Negotiates agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renews price lists, terms and conditions, in partnership with regional and Global Category Management teams.
  • Ensures the Category sourcing performance targets are achieved.
  • Establish saving project and Value analysis/Engineering projects and lead project teams to execute under total cost of ownership aspects and following the asset light strategy.
  • Leading by example by demonstrating HSE best practices and business ethics in day-to-day operations, contract management and negotiations
  • Delivering and participating in training programs on compliance and professional development
  • Executing effective and transparent communication internally, externally and between different units and centers to drive cross-collaboration
  • Standardizing processes and implementing routines in line with global directives
Your background
  • A specific degree in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement/supply chain management, working as procurement/supply chain management specialist
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Knowledge of SAP, SAP Ariba is a plus
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
  • German (C2 level) and English language skills business fluent
  • Willingness to travel 10 %
  • Holder of a current B-permit, G-Permit or EU/Swiss citizenship
