You will manage commercially one of Sony’s key strategic product groups – maximizing sales, profit, brand awareness and purchase consideration in Switzerland and Austria. As a Product Manager for Headphones, you will build strong dealership relationships to maximize sales, profit, brand awareness and purchase consideration for Switzerland and Austria.
Guided by our Pan-European strategy, you’ll rigorously analyze your product categories to set annual budgets and forecasts. From there, you’ll be a motivating partner to the sales and brand activation teams tasked with executing your plans, using your data-driven insights to adapt strategies for the local market.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Define & communicate business strategy covering pricing, advertising & promotion, product-line-up, distribution strategies, and market segments.
  • Monitor progress against agreed budgets, targets/plans, and revise estimates on a regular basis
  • Manage Product life cycle: 360° launch plan, tactical pricing, End-of-Life management.
  • Market & GFK analysis to understand key drivers and growth factors (pricing, line-up, distribution channels).
  • Analyze sell-out and competitive landscape.
  • Weekly review of net sales and profitability for fast decision making.
  • Understand retail pricing structure to propose the best offers on promotional opportunities.
  • Coordinate European promotions implementation for Switzerland and Austria, and support Sales in retailer meetings.
  • Set monthly forecast: sales forecasts consolidation, monitor allocation, maintain healthy channel inventory in collaboration with HQ planning department.
  • Apply SLC (Selection, Location, Condition) for your product category.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor or master’s degree in business administration, Economics or similar.
  • Product Marketing business experience; commercially minded, preferably with a sales background in a Consumer Electronics or FMCG environment
  • Significant analytical skills and experience with commercial reporting & analysis.
  • Experience in sales forecasting and sales evaluation.
  • Relationship building & influencing skills.
  • Knowledge of the consumer electronics industry: competitors, retailers and consumers.
  • Microsoft Excel expertise (incl. Pivot tables) combined with the ability to analyse and interpret data which lead to great business plans.
  • Presentation skills (Microsoft PowerPoint).
  • Fluent in written and spoken German and English is a must, French is a plus.
  • 10% travel, within Switzerland and Austria and internationally mainly to our European Sony Headquarter in South-West London.
