Axpo is expanding its renewables business consisting in developing and managing wind, solar, hydrogen, and battery assets. We invest own money but also manage renewable assets for third parties. In this role, you will liaise closely with Axpo’s internal functions as well as with external suppliers and official bodies to materialize initiatives and foster the position of Axpo in the field of hydrogen.

What you will do
  • Structure own projects (define set-up, identify areas of work, define budget and timing) in cooperation with local origination
  • Take responsibility for all aspects of the investment cycle, including commercial, financial, and technical consideration, the planning application, as well as the preparation of investment decision documents
  • Support originators in giving first evaluation of projects
  • Support Valuation & Risk in setting up valuation models, tools and input data
  • Connect to Axpo-internal and external support functions for own projects (tech. experts, suppliers)
  • Responsible for suppliers, service providers and project teams
  • Ensure power supplies (PPA) and find off-takers (for H2, O2, heat, GO) in cooperation with local origination
  • Present projects to customers/partners In cooperation with originators

What you bring & who you are
  • University degree of engineering sciences, natural sciences, business administration, or in a comparable discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in project management; experience in asset development, energy-related markets consulting, or commercialisation of energy
  • Experience in developing and delivering energy-related business opportunities
  • Entrepreneurial skills and experiences, combined with a structured approach
  • Communication skills and ability to work in a diverse team across several locations

About the team

In order to grow this business, we are looking to hire a Business & Project developer to expand our portfolio of projects in Switzerland and other countries. This role comprises all activities from identifying viable business cases sourced by originators, to developing these business cases to projects and bringing these projects to completion
