Working as a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, designing, engineering, commissioning and testing electric drive systems. This includes customized products fitted to mills, high-pressure grinding rolls, conveyors, fans and pumps used in the minerals processing industry.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will make technical recommendations in various phases of customer projects to ensure successful delivery of project deliverables on time, within budget and in line with quality and safety guidelines.

Your responsibilities
  • Design or co-design technical solutions for electric drive systems, including clarification and coordination of all relevant engineering aspects during project execution
  • Conducting cost streamlining and ensuring project targets are met in full, in addition to carrying out inspections and performing factory acceptance tests
  • Overseeing or assisting with commissioning and maintenance of drive systems at customer sites worldwide, including troubleshooting
  • Issuing and reviewing specifications and data sheets, project documents and customer documentation
  • Working in close cooperation with Team Leader for the purpose of co-managing costs, schedules and quality, thereby improving profitability and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Ensuring provision of qualified technical support for Sales, Product Development and Service in pursuit of excellence
Your background
  • Experience in the area of drive technology is beneficial
  • Sound knowledge drive system engineering as well as experience relating to commissioning and service activities
  • A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills
  • A bachelor/master’s degree in Electrical and/or Automation Engineering or a similar field; emphasis on Power Electronics/Drive Technology
  • Willingness to travel on global commissioning and service assignments to remote sites (25-50% of working hours and up to several weeks per assignment)
  • Fluency in English
