An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and experienced Project Manager within our Drug Substance Business Unit at Moderna. This vital role is centered on driving diverse cross-functional projects, encompassing the implementation of new technologies, manufacturing capacity expansion, and spearheading strategic initiatives crucial for our forward momentum.

As a Project Manager, you’ll be instrumental in developing comprehensive timelines and establishing governance structures, ensuring these pivotal projects are led from inception through to successful implementation. Direct collaboration with stakeholders will be key to maintaining project trajectory, addressing any significant issues through the appropriate channels.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Managing and executing a varied portfolio of projects, leading within a cross-functional matrix environment.
  • Collaborating with the broader DS Leadership Team to prioritize projects, craft charters, and oversee project progression.
  • Cultivating a positive, inclusive work culture that encourages teamwork, innovation, and ongoing improvement.
  • Navigating and resolving conflicts within the team and across departments.
  • Identifying project risks (schedule, cost, outcomes), working across teams to strategize action plans, and mitigate potential impacts.
  • Adhering to GMP, GLP, and company policies, ensuring regulatory and internal compliance.
Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Upholding Good Documentation Practices and Data Integrity standards, maintaining thorough records to support audits and inspections.
  • Completing requisite training within assigned timelines.

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in STEM or relevant field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years supporting manufacturing operations and/or process development in a regulated environment.
  • Specific Certifications or Training: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
  • Other Quantifiable Preference:
    • Proven leadership experience, strong communication skills, and a track record of successful process improvement projects.
    • Demonstrated strong understanding of GMP regulations and current industry practices.
