AO Global Networks comprises our clinical specialties of trauma, spine, craniomaxillofacial, veterinary and reconstructive surgery, facilitating the effective sharing of functional best practice and expertise across our clinical areas. We develop world-leading experts through our best-in-class educational events and state-of-the-art research, enabling us to respond to changing clinical needs and improve patient outcomes.

We are looking for a highly motivated person to join our team in Davos, Switzerland, including working from remote, as

Project Manager Education Networks (80%)

Based in Davos you will be part of the new Global Networks Network Development Team and coordinate and support in ongoing projects within the faculty engagement area.

In this role you will have the opportunity to:

  • Drive your own projects within faculty reporting and data analysis. You will be one of the main point of contacts for various AO stakeholders to ensure that we develop and improve our reporting capabilities using the tool Tableau. This also involves teaching and instruct report user how to best utilize new reports.
  • Be responsible for developing the "Event Owners guide to faculty set up" including writing and posting articles on our internal document repository Zendesk.
  • Deep dive into an analysis of the future need of faculty development and how the AO can best use and engage our existing and new faculties.
  • Have the main responsibility of the development of the faculty documentation repository (Faculty Lounge) and a future approach for faculty evaluation and performance measurements.
  • Be responsible for faculty engagement events and congresses and courses
  • Support & involvement in ongoing projects such as:
  • Faculty data base quality improvement
  • Faculty pathway: how do we align and improve how we define, develop, and retain our existing and new faculties?
  • Faculty pathway task force
  • Faculty focus: you will support in the re-shaping of our publication to reach our and interest our faculties
  • Surgical insights

In order to master this exciting challenge, you ideally have:

  • Preferably a BA or BSc degree with excellent project management skills
  • A feeling for development of coherent reports and training manuals & materials
  • To be confident to hold trainings – face to face or on-line in front of a large audience
  • The ability to develop and execute events including surgeon participants or other stake holders
  • A broad understanding of existing and new IT tools and how we can apply them to improve our daily work
  • An Understanding of the AO as a surgeons-driven matrix organization with competing interests, various stakeholders, and heritage
  • Excellent English communications skills (both written and spoken) and high degree of professionalism and customer service mindset
  • A team-oriented personality
