The Sr. HR L&D Manager, Sales & Marketing Talent Segments is responsible for the management of HR programs and policy requirements that provide the framework for program design in the Sales & Marketing Talent Segment and aligns with Region and Business Unit Talent and Organization strategy, HR strategy and business needs. This role is responsible for bringing outside-in perspective and expertise founded on market intelligence for the Sales & Marketing Talent Segment to incorporate leading practices and innovative solutions into the program requirements. You will define the Sales & Marketing Talent Segment policy requirements for the purpose of enhancing the employee experience and maintaining the business competitive advantage. This role collaborates with other COE teams and leaders within the business, around the globe, to support an integrated strategy, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide compelling insights and emerging trends in Learning & Development to business & HR stakeholders, develop and drive a future-focused learning strategy and impactful programs for the Sales and Marketing organizations, across the enterprise

  • Develop innovative solution alternatives to resolve issues, influence and create buy-in with key stakeholders while understanding trends across the enterprise/business units relative to the prod lifecycle to further develop technical skills needed with commercial teams for product launches and expanded indications

  • Assess business strategies and objectives along with external industry dynamics based on extensive knowledge of business acumen and the company’s strategy

  • Foster increased communication and stronger alignment with Sales Training Leaders within the business units, across global regions

  • Establish and lead learning councils (with global representation) focused on the strategic aspects of Learning & Development program development for Sales & Marketing

  • Lead the strategic and tactical development of learning program/experience objectives and policy requirements based on business needs and strategic goals for Sales & Marketing Talent Segment programs, with accountability for all project deliverables including identifying gaps, recommending solutions while providing direction and guidance to project teams.

  • Develop globally scalable and sustainable learning programs and experiences, extending across regions and business units, including program design and delivery strategy, utilizing knowledge of product maturity and geographic readiness and high-level diagnostic skills and agile methodology. Lead the assessment and evaluation to refine program design using data and analytics to support continuous improvement of programs including reducing cost, improving program quality/satisfaction, and demonstrating the value of Sales & Marketing Talent Segment programs to the business.

  • Design Sales & Marketing Talent Segment learning programs and experiences based on business need, program framework and requirements, metrics of success, and global COE alignment.

  • Identify, evaluate, and lead the implementation of more complex training and development programs and process improvement and/or course correction/course alignment opportunities. Oversee and maintain Sales & Marketing Talent Segment program design and delivery.

  • Collaborate with other Program Owners/Designers to create a seamless employee experience across HR offerings.

  • Collaborate with HR team to design programs and reports to continually improve data elements for compliance/evaluation.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in in Human Resources, Business, Management, Organization Development, or related field, 12+ years experience of experience in Learning & Development, and/or Sales & Marketing functional experience

  • 7+ years of experience in a field-based Sales or Sales Management position, or a Marketing Manager position

  • High level of experience in leading global and complex initiatives for the business, focused on a field-based talent population

  • Direct experience as a project lead, which requires executive presence and influence with senior leader stakeholders in the business (Vice President/ Senior Director level), across global regions

  • Recognized as an expert in sales and marketing within the organization with broad-based advanced knowledge within the organization

  • Ability to manage effective communications through various mediums such as program design strategies, stakeholder needs assessments, program launches, and program design project team communications.

  • Expert understanding of related aspects of global training and development processes and/or systems

  • Expert knowledge on the design, development, implementation of large-scale talent and leadership development with broad-based advanced knowledge within the organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent in a related field; 10+ years of experience as stated above required with a Master’s

  • 3+ years of L&D experience supporting the Sales and Marketing functions

  • Medical device industry experience

  • Proven successful project management skills

  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to influence change

  • Excellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives

  • Strict attention to detail

  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to represent leadership on projects within multiple areas, interfacing with project managers, cross-functional teams and key stakeholders
