At HeiQ (www.heiq.com, LSE:HEIQ), we are on a mission to improve the lives of billions of people by “heiqing” materials. Since our inception as spin-off from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH) in 2005, we have created some of the most effective, durable and high-performing textile technologies on the market today. Over 300 brands like Burberry, Zara, Burton, Patagonia, Speedo, Uvex, Itochu, or Serta Simmons sell products with our technologies inside. This makes every-day products more functional, more comfortable and more sustainable – and has won us 18 awards that we are proud of.

HeiQ combines the flexibility and dynamism of a young and customer-oriented company with the professionalism of an international, UK stock market listed player.

In order to continue our growth story, we are looking for an experienced

HR Generalist (100%).

In this newly created role, you are on a mission to build world-class people operations for HeiQ and will report directly to the VP People Operations.

Your Responsibilities

  • Managing all HR administration matters in Switzerland, including payroll & benefits management
  • Maintaining employee files & other employee related documentation in our HR management system to ensure records are up to date and compliant.
  • Acting as the point of contact for our employees on questions linked to HR services
  • Assisting talent acquisition and recruitment processes for open vacancies in Switzerland, creating work contracts, and ensuring the smooth onboarding of new employees.
  • Compiling reports on employee data as needed
  • Owning and continuously improving People Operations processes, interfacing with third parties on areas such as visas, payroll, and benefits as needed.
  • Developing and implementing HR policies and process and ensuring policies are up to date and compliant with current legislation.
  • Ensuring the company is compliant with immigration rules and processes and managing work permit and visa applications and renewals.
  • Assisting with annual activities such as the performance or compensation review process.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and recommending appropriate solutions to address the needs of a growing organization.
  • Potentially ad hoc responsibilities in projects such as M&A, well-being, remuneration, culture and engagement, and other HR related work streams.

You are

  • Within 3 to 7 years of your career.
  • A relentless go-getter.
  • A learner, not a knower.
  • Very structured and diligent yet pragmatic and result-driven.
  • An authentic team player, demanding of yourself and leading by example.
  • With great interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A competent systems user, including HRIS and ATS platforms, and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
  • Fully professionally proficient in English (mandatory for all employees working at HeiQ - additional languages are advantageous).

You bring

  • A Bachelor or Master in Business Administration, Psychology, or equivalent.
  • Experience owning all HR and recruitment matters as an HR Generalist role in Switzerland in an international company.
  • Preferably experience acting as a business partner and collaborating with business teams spread across multiple geographies.
  • Ideally knowledge and experience with different employment and labor laws.
  • Experience working in a fast-growing startup or scale-up.
  • A winning attitude, sense of ownership, and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success.

We offer

  • A chance to step up, take responsibility, and make a difference in shaping HeiQ’s global growth story.
  • Hard work, a breath-takingly high pace, and a direct communication style.
  • An extraordinary team and a diverse, inclusive, meritocratic culture.
  • Performance-based employment conditions.
  • The possibility to split your work between one of our offices and home-office.

Does that sound like a great challenge to you? Then we look forward to receiving your application asap. Only suitable candidates will be contacted. Applications of Non-EU/EFTA Citizens without valid work permit for Switzerland cannot be considered. We will be in touch as soon as possible.
