Reinforcement Learning Intern

Sony AIis looking for a talented Reinforcement Learning Internto join our Zurich-based team for a 6-month internship (early start dates preferred).

Job Description:

Reinforcement learning holds the promise of enabling robots to solve tasks that are challenging for traditional control algorithms. Despite this promise, RL agents are commonly trained in virtual environments, and considerable efforts are therefore needed to apply such agentsto the real world. The goal of this internship is to solve some of the challenges that arise when a deep RL agent is trained in simulation and then applied to a robot in the real world.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Background in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or another related field

• Experience with reinforcement learning and deep learning

• Experience programming in Python with TensorFlow/PyTorch

• Good communication skills in English

• Bonus points for:

• Publication record in machine learning
• Familiarity with continuous control, sim2real, goal-conditioned RL, imitation learning
• Experience with creating RL environments in Bullet, Unity, MuJoCo
• Experience with ROS
