This position is located at our corporate office in Baar, Switzerland.
Overview: This is a six-month maternity cover, starting in July. The Revenue & Distribution Manager will report to the Head of Global Distribution & Revenue Management. He / she communicates regularly with the Aman Central Reservation and Distribution teams, the Marketing team and hotel reservations/revenue teams as well as the respective General Managers. Supports all related corporate Distribution and Hotel teams with implementing/monitoring revenue generating reservations/best practise processes. Holds responsibility in making the core proprietary reservations channels one of the key contributors in rooms/incremental revenue.
Responsibilities: - Key administrator in S&M form submission and distribution of rate plans
- Assists Head of Global Distribution in identifying/implementing new best practises/functions of rooms/incremental revenue streams
- Part of the task-force team for distribution/revenue management related functions in pre-opening and business/operational distressed properties
- Communicates and trains best practises in distribution management to operating teams and conduct periodical checks and channel audits – focus on systems usage
- Reviews, updates and enforces distribution/revenue management policies & procedures to ensure compliance by hotels
- Supports the hotels in understanding competitive environment in relation to pick up trends, recommend actions in yielding for their property, provide analysis and performance critique
- Active role in reviewing forecasts prior to submissions
- Secondary contact for 3rd party vendors/suppliers
- Co-ordinates with ACR heads training needs/schedules/audits on Reservation / Revenue Management / Data policies & procedures
- Supports the hotel teams and working with IT teams in troubleshooting PMS, CRS and RMS issues
- Key system administrator for Ideas G3, Travelclick and STR Benchmarking Suite
- Project manager for installation of revenue management system and upgrades
- To perform any other ad-hoc duties and requirements as directed by Head of Global Distribution
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 3 years work experience in supervisory/management position in hotel reservations or revenue or channel & e-commerce management
- Working knowledge of fundamentals and disciplines of forecasts, market segmentations, shopping/pricing/channel tools and able to conceptualize and articulate the correlation of distribution with revenue management
- In depth knowledge with Opera PMS/ORS, CRS Synxis, RMS Ideas G3, Travelclick Revenue Strategy and Demand 360 and other channel management systems.
- Highly computer literate in working with standard Microsoft Office programs, especially MS Excel
OTHER COMPETENCIES
- Strong command of both written and spoken English is required; additional languages an asset
- Good interpersonal skills, able to listen & communicate, team player
- Ability to work under own initiative with a degree of stamina, agility and flexibility
- Good analytical and numeric understanding
- High level of determination and commitment and a good sense of need of achievement of goals and success
