We are currently looking for a Robotics and Automation Leader at our site in Visp to bring Lonza to the next level of 21st century automation and robotics in the pharmaceutical industry.

Key responsibilities:

  • Challenging existing manual practices and watching out for the best automation and robotics within the pharma industry as well as other industries to improve current practices

  • Driving the standardization and the efficiency in Quality Control (QC)

  • Drive the digital transformation of quality processes in close collaboration with the digital transformation group, global QMS and global IT

  • Since projects in this area are of strategic importance, a correspondingly high level of management attention is given here

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in a scientific field

  • Proven success of implemented automation and robotics projects in the GMP regulated environment

  • Experience in communicating with interfaces of different systems (LIMS, iLab, SAP)

  • First experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA), use of Bots and artificial intelligence

  • Fluent business language skills in English and German
