The Sales Representative will be responsible for growth and expansion of direct sales and profit margins within assigned accounts and/or territory/region on products or services. Establishes professional relationships with key personnel in customer accounts. Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and margin dollars.Essential Job Functions
- Profitably grow Beckman Coulter Diagnostics (BC Dx) in vitro diagnostics (IVD) business within assigned regions by value selling our solution portfolio, including its immune- /clinical-chemistry/hematology analyzers and total lab automation solutions.
- Help drive our recurring revenue business at assigned customer accounts by closely working together with local Field Application Specialists and Service Engineers to minimize sales cycles.
- Closely work with regional marketing to help create and execute impactful market lead generation and awareness campaigns within the assigned sales territories.
- Attend specialized events to promote our solution portfolio and assist with the proactive follow up of leads.
- Help grow our service and aftermarket revenue by establishing our service solution portfolio as an essential part of our solution offering.
- 3-5 years demonstrable success record of direct sales experience for technically complex analytical solutions in the diagnostic and life science markets.
- Has demonstrative experience using value-selling tactics for sales development and account share growth (e.g. Miller Heiman Sales methodology) and can quantify sales activities with CRMs (Sales Force experience preferred) with ease.
- A driven and highly motivated team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire a winning attitude in colleagues by example.
- Bachelor’s degree in the natural sciences, preferably in the life sciences.
- Fluent in German and English (French language skills highly appreciated)
- Open to travel at least 2-3 days per week
