Medtronic is hiring an experienced Senior Financial Accountant for our finance department in Neuhausen am Rheinfall. As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will step into an environment which is dynamic, fast moving and will allow you to develop and grow. You would be joining a high performing Corp. Finance team based in Neuhausen am Rheinfall, Switzerland, reporting to the Finance Manager.Main Responsibilities

• Member of FX Center Of Excellence with responsibility to prevent, identify, resolve, and communicate foreign currency accounting errors
• Actively dealing and participating in month-end GL tasks and activities including journal processing, preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and TB trend analysis
• Tracking costs on specific projects or across various functions which includes purchase order requisitions review
• Assist to facilitate continuous process improvement, support Lean initiatives and maintaining integrity of the processes and systems
• Participation in Quarterly Balance Sheet review process
• Supporting the preparation of the quarterly and annual Swiss GAAP statutory accounts and Board of Directors pack (multiple entities)
• Liaising with Business Units and with corporate FP&A departments
• Analyzing and investigating variances between actual expenses versus forecast
• Monitoring compliance with company-wide accounting policies and procedures
• In- and external audit support; audit testing and internal controls testing, auditor enquiries
• Other administration tasks / business support and special projects
  

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.Must Have

• Degree in Business Administration / Finance / Accountancy
• Min. 5 years finance experience as accountant, analyst, or financial controller
• Proficiency in use of Excel and MS Office
• Strong knowledge of SAP PR1-ERP finance system
• Proven numeracy and analysis skills
• Attention to details and ability to condense and communicate complex information
• Result oriented with an ability to work across hierarchies
• Advanced English knowledge
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice to Have

• Foreign currency exposure would be considered as an advantage
• Knowledge of US GAAP
• Knowledge of Swiss GAAP
• Experience with data analytics, HFM Essbase or other financial reporting tools
