Senior LPG Trader

• Trade within internal and external compliance standards, respecting trading mandates, risk policies and defined limits
• Maximize profit through trading activities
• Support the Head LPG in set-up and develop the LPG desk
• Identify and exploit LPG trading opportunities by performing physical and financial LPG seaborne trad-ing and hedging
• Conduct negotiations and contractual agreements with potential suppliers and customers
• Monitor and analyse the global LPG market
• Support and development business relationships
• Position Axpo physically and financially in the global LPG market and ensure that opportunities can be taken
• Identify new potential business relationships, suppliers and customers
• Take care of existing business relationships with suppliers and counterparties as well as of existing contractual relations as a base of a trust-based collaboration
• Identify potential suppliers of LPG and build useful business contacts with the aim of diversifying procurement routes
• Perform market research (fundamentals, quantitative models) and independently acquire knowledge for decision-making within assigned trading mandates
• Evaluate and monitor positions, identify trading opportunities and risks
• Manage relationships with internal and external contacts to maximize trading opportunities

• At least 5 years of professional experience in LPG trading including shipping
• Detailed knowledge of LPG market fundamentals
• Familiarity with LPG storage/transport capacity optimization models as well as pricing
• Experience with proprietary trading related activities, with the possible inclusion of other commodities
• Knowledge of valuation techniques for commodity, options and derivative transactions
• Business development attitude/approach and willingness to start up and develop the LPG business
• Proven success record in physical LPG trading across global markets, including the U.S, NWE, Med and Asia.
• Successful experience in financial LPG hedging/trading
• Sound risk management skills and discipline in complying with risk mandates and limits of authorities
• Deep understanding of financial and physical risks and ability to implement proper mitigation actions
• Sound analytical skills. Proposed trades must be based on strong and clear analysis.
• Ability to identify and exploit arbitrage opportunities in the LPG seaborne trading market
• Deep understanding of the shipping/freight market
• Strong relationships with LPG sellers (e.g. midstream companies in the US) with a track record in closing LPG purchasing spot and term contracts.
• Strong relationships with many LPG buyers, especially located in Europe and Far East (e.g. LPG distribution companies, petrochemical companies), with a track record in closing LPG sales contracts.
