Your Role and Responsibilities

As an IBM Senior Storage Sales Consultant you will join a great storage team in the leading Hybrid Cloud and AI company IBM. In this sales position you will actively engage with large and mid-sized enterprises. You will take responsibility to sell our IBM Storage solutions not only for traditional workloads but also for Hybrid Cloud and Container based environments including also Cyber Resiliency solutions.

You understand and can position respective concepts and architectures and translate them into commercial advantages for the customer.

You will build up and manage key relationships, understanding the client’s organization and culture, and developing strategic plans to address both IT and Line-of-Business organizations. The ideal candidate is used to sell not only to the IT department but also on C-level, based on several years of successful experience. The role gives you the chance to build relationships with senior client executives while earning a reputation as a trusted advisor. A demonstrated level of business acumen as it applies to the client’s business is a critical requirement.

We are seeking individuals interested in making an impact in selling IBM’s Storage portfolio.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
We are looking for a professional with:
  • At least 5 years of experience in Storage solution sales with large and mid-sized accounts
  • Proven track record of new account acquisition and managing customer accounts, leading the closing of storage deals larger CHF 1 Mio
  • Profound knowledge of storage solutions and products
  • Must be able to articulate the business value of our solutions and products and position them in competitive scenarios
  • Strong communication and excellent presentation skills
  • Existing contacts to large customers on a mid to upper management level
  • Experienced in direct sales as well as indirect sales (Business Partners)
  • Eager to win and close deals in a very competitive environment
  • Motivated, a self-starter and have the ability to network across a broad team
  • Drive deals from beginning till closing with all teams inside or outside of company
  • Fluent in German and English
