Job Description

We are looking for you as our new Senior Workplace Engineer (m/f/x). In this role, you will be part of the Corporate Workplace Engineering team, sharing your expertise and hands-on experience in technological innovation, project and configuration management, administration and operation around the digital workplace. The position is based in Basel, Switzerland and reports to the Head Corporate Workplace Engineering.

Your Task
  • You will analyze business requirements and advise internal and external stakeholders
  • You will develop innovative technical concepts for the client infrastructure with the goal to improve user experience and security
  • You will focus on advance client, OS, and apps lifecycle management, aiming for process optimization and automation
  • You will integrate cloud solutions
  • In this function you support and coach workplace expert community across all regions
  • Mobile device management and client virtualization platforms administration are part of your role
  • You will review and solve incidents and problems

Qualifications
  • You have at least 7 years of experience within workplace engineering activities, business requirements engineering and prototyping
  • Track record in leading RFP and PoC processes, as well as technology and product evaluations
  • Expert knowledge in Microsoft Modern EndPoint Manager (MEMCM, MEMIntune), Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Powershell; Citrix Xenapp a plus
  • You are experienced in securing endpoint devices
  • Your professional communication skills in English (oral and written) are fluent, German language skills will be a plus
  • Project management experience, ITIL Foundation certificate will be beneficial
  • You are used to work in diverse, international environments and collaborate across matrix organizations
  • You are a team player with pronounced customer focus and excellent communication skills
  • You are well organized, analytical thinking, outcome oriented
  • Continuous learning is a matter of course for you and you enjoy familiarizing yourself with new topics & trends
  • You are willing to participate in stand-by service
