Arxada is looking for a Site Headlocated in Visp, Switzerland.With more than 800 employees in Visp, you are the ultimate face of the organization to customers, regulators, and the community.

You lead and ensure compliance, continuously improve processes and culture with respect to Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality policies in addition to site profitability. You drive safety culture on site, ensuring safety measures and good practices imbedded in behavior and visible to all. Together with the Site Leadership team, you deliver business and growth initiatives in a safe, high-quality, and compliant manner that delivers value to the customers and the organization.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide overall leadership for the site in driving all aspects of performance in EH&S, Quality, Delivery, and Cost

• Develop strategic direction for operations to achieve significant performance improvement and ensuring long term improving competitiveness for the site

• Create a culture and capability for continuous improvement

• Drive a safety culture, ensuring safety measures and good practices are imbedded in behavior and visible to all

• Build a highly capable and high performing team in both a lean operating structure and a high talent organization

• Achieve a high level of employee engagement through leadership, communication, and inspiration

• Establish operating cadences that set targets, review progress, problem solve and make adjustments to achieve measurable outcomes with smartly chose KPIs

• Member of the site coordination team and external representative for Visp and active external stakeholder engagement in the community of Visp, Canton of Valais and the national Switzerland level.

Key requirements:

• Master degree in Life Sciences or Chemistry, post graduate qualification is a plus

• Strong Economic background

• Extensive experience in leading operations or operations related departments

• Culturally sensitive having had a wide-ranging career with global reach

• Ability to inspire a large organization by articulating a vision in an exciting manner, and translate strategies developed into executable and innovative actionable plans with the adherence to standardized procedures & compliance requirements

• Strong ability to structure, pragmatically scope, and solve abstract and complex problems

• Use challenge mindset to lead and successfully deliver requirements from the organization and customers, with proper balance between tactical and strategic delivery

• Naturally collaborative with a proven ability to partner and influence others at all levels of the organization

• Fluent in English and German with exceptional communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
