In our R&D group, we develop hearing solutions and services for hearing impaired people and hearing care professionals in the form of hearing instruments, accessories, web services, mobile applications and PC software.

In a multidisciplinary team of electrical and software engineers, you will contribute to the design, development and the maintenance of firmware and software components. The developed tools are in use worldwide to support the entire lifecycle of all Sonova hearing instruments and products. From the engineering phases to the mass-manufacturing you will be engaged in delivering highly flexible and reliable firmware and software applications.

Your tasks
  • Design and develop software components, platforms, services and applications for the Sonova Group
  • Ensure that the various teams in Sonova R&D can use hardware for effective firmware testing
  • Coordinate the deployment of new hardware to various R&D teams globally
  • Support firmware developers in debugging problems with hardware and tools
  • Develop tools and testing environment related to hardware

Your profile
  • Degree in computer science, electrical engineering or related technical field
  • 1+ year of professional working experience with state-of-the-art software development technologies and tools with embedded software development
  • Experience with hardware and measurement equipment (including soldering)
  • Understanding of best practices in software development processes
  • Knowledge of PCB schematic design, Python, Groovy (Java) C# for testing and test environment
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus
