For our Medical Device client in Baar we’re currently looking for a Technical Writer. This is a longterm assignment with our client.

Your responsibilities and tasks are to support our technical writing resource in

• Creating and updating our customer-facing technical documents, working in close contact with project managers, product managers, marketing and service (matrix organization) and suppliers
• Organizing, ordering and controlling of technical documentation translations through external translation agencies
• Develop product release specific international document roll-out strategy and implement it
• Ensure document compliance to medical device quality and regulation standards
• Revision, harmonization and release of technical information on company homepage
• Taking and editing digital photographs and illustrations and collating drawings for integration into the technical documentation
• Creating instructional graphics based on existing 3D CAD models
• Creating and editing maintenance and training videos for service technicians, product managers and customers
• Support compilation and review of marketing material (technical content)
• Helping the company shape the way from printed instructions to digital media
• Collaboration with and control of external agencies (translation, layouting, photographer, etc.)
• Document release / archive management; build a modern technical editorial and publishing process
• Set and enforce company technical writing standards (such as text glossaries)
• Contributing proactively as member of product lifecycle projects to the success of product innovation

Your qualifications:

• Degree as Technical Editor or Engineer (ETH, FH) with relevant technical editing experience
• Experience in engineering / product development, ideally medical devices, ISO 13485, 510K (FDA)
• Profound skills in editing/layouting SW tools (e.g. InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe, Acrobat X Pro, Word)
• Fluent in spoken and written English (documentation master language), good German language skills (word/mouth) are an asset
• Advantageous are skills and experience in marketing and web page design / programming
