Idorsia is looking for a motivated and result-driven trainee for a 6 months traineeship in our Chemistry CNS group. The earliest start date will be April 1st.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborating with a small team in a medicinal chemistry lab
• Performing multi-step organic synthesis of intermediates and biologically active compounds (50 mg to 25 g scale)
• Isolating and purifying of intermediates and target compounds
• Characterizing compounds with LCMS, NMR and HPLC
• Clearly documenting and communicating results and progress

Candidate’s Requirements

Masters/BSc student in organic chemistry or equivalent
Good English skills (spoken and written)
Ability to work efficiently and independently
Good communication and team-working skills
Good problem-solving skills
