THE ROLE

The Corporate Treasury team, based in Geneva Switzerland is responsible for global cash operations, financial risk management and banking. Treasury acts as the center of guidance and support for liquidity needs throughout the group. In these period of transformation, we are building a team of Treasury experts to support the new business and build a best in class Treasury function.

Key Responsibilities

We´re looking for an experienced Treasury professional to join the Wella Treasury team as a Treasury Manager.

As a core member of the Group Treasury team, the Treasury Manager will be responsible for the following tasks of holding companies and the EMEA region of the Group:
  • Daily cash management operations including working capital funding, cash consolidation and related operational and reporting activities for the Treasury entity and associated subsidiary entities
  • Management and maintenance of intercompany loan portfolio; responsible for entering and tracking I/C loans in TMS and ensuring strict adherence to standard operating processes
  • Responsible for establishing and executing best practices with local markets, shared service centers and back office to facilitate cash management operations i.e. short term cash forecasting, daily reconciliations
  • Banking administration including but not limited to opening/closing bank accounts, user entitlements and timely update of all banking related access rights
  • Bank interface management in alignment with IT and the responsible banks
  • Work directly with Treasury Director to manage and monitor FX hedging program, deal execution, tracking
  • Manage investments of excess cash locally and centrally
  • Manage credit facility drawdowns, payments, trackers
  • Monitor import of market data such as FX rates and interest rates in Treasury and accounting systems
  • Maintenance of bank connectivity, cash and debt management activities in Treasury Management System
  • Assist with implementation and ongoing maintenance of working capital programs
  • Administer intercompany netting system and manage monthly netting process
  • Treasury month-end closing operations and reporting for the entities in scope
  • Treasury analytics reporting, including but not limited to cash flow trend analysis
  • Systems Management - act as the key contact for relationship with IT, Bloomberg, Fxall
  • Work closely with other Corporate teams i.e. Tax, Accounting, FP&A to ensure cash strategies align with global targets
  • Support banking strategies, identifying enhancement opportunities based on daily cash flow activity
  • Responsible for proactively identifying opportunities for operational improvements and offering strategic cash management solutions
  • Provide back-up support to Treasury Assistant Manager on daily operations
  • Provide project support as required
  • Support ad Hoc requests as aligned with the Treasury Director and Group Treasurer

As a Manager in the team, you need to have the:
  • Ability to prioritize and organize, ensuring all tasks are completed in a time efficient manner
  • Capacity to ‘think outside the box’, introducing new ideas and concepts to optimize current practices
  • Propensity to adapt approach/adjust priorities in order to deal with changing environments
  • Clear understanding of the urgency of prompt, pro-active action on all cash-related matters
  • Good communication skills required to liaise with all interdependent groups
  • Disciplined work ethic with attention to detail while keeping in mind the overall big picture
  • Willingness to dedicate efforts to build a best-in-class Treasury
  • Displays a confident, calm approach in high pressure environment

Qualifications

Essential:
  • At least 5-7 years relevant Treasury Front Office experience
  • Proficient PC-skills: MS tools, TMS, Bloomberg, FX dealing platforms
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently, build and maintain strong working relationships, multi-task and operate under tight timelines
  • Desire to learn and take on additional responsibilities and motivation for self-improvement with significant opportunities to transition into other areas in Wella’s global network
  • Good team player with excellent verbal and written communication skill, fluent in English

Desirable:
  • SAP, Kyriba, Hyperion experience a plus
  • Experience with hedge accounting (IFRS/US GAAP)
  • Ideally an experience in a carve-out / PE owned business context
