The job in brief

We are looking for a Purchasing and Warehouse Lead Officer W/M, who will be responsible for the efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of a wide range of goods including, but not limited to materials, tools, machinery, auto fleet, PPE and clothing, while implementing measures to increase the company’s effectiveness and efficiency.

Purchasing:

As a purchaser, you will need to meet the daily demands required by the office and field staff to perform as efficiently as possible.  You need to be able to work with vendors to eliminate the company’s risk.  You need to be proactive and aware of all related markets.

  • Ensure quality, delivery budget and environmental objectives are met
  • Produce regular purchasing reports on a weekly/monthly basis
  • Communicate market conditions and merchandise costs to the management team
  • Evaluate vendors and conduct buy-out pricing
  • Negotiate rates with common carrier representatives
  • Administer on-line purchasing systems (internal ERP Select Line)
  • Review purchase order claims and contracts
  • Anticipate and prevent product shortages for daily operations
  • Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment
  • Receive invoicing and verify against purchase orders
  • Dealing with customs and agent procedures relations
  • Being well organized in maintaining documents for internal audits

Warehouse:

As a warehouse Lead Officer you must ensure productivity targets are met and maintain an administration of the storage and retrieval system, which will be moving to a computerized methodology(ERP).  You will ensure workplace health, HACCP, and safety requirements are met

  • Organize  and Supervise warehouse daily activities.
  • Possess HACCP Know-how and follow all procedures
  • Managing, evaluating and reporting on warehouse productivity.
  • Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.
  • Manage, prevent and restock production shortages for daily operations
  • Maintain suitable inventory levels.
  • Maintaining records, reporting relevant information, and preparing any necessary documentation.
  • Communicating and coordinating with other departments,
  • Daily organizational efficiency to produce all necessary documentation for internal audits

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience at supervisory level or above
  • Inflight catering supply chain experience is an strong advantage
  • Excellent communication and Excel skills
  • Resistance to stressful situations
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Good knowledge of HACCP & food safety standards;
  • English speaker is a must, German speaker is a plus
