Your Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the International Strategy Manager, the Analyst, International Strategic Planning is leading the strategic reflection within the International division (regrouping EMEA, Scandinavia, Russia, China, Asia Pacific and Latin America) by ensuring a smooth deployment of the “Mission 25” strategic plan and by stimulating the long-term strategic thinking on growth opportunities.

Working closely with the International Management Committee, the regions and the global functions, she/he owns the “Mission 25” Strategic Plan for the division. To do so, she/he leads the strategic governance, establishes a clear roadmap and resources plan, ensures the focus is on the right priorities and facilitates the tracking of the plan.

The Analyst, International Strategic Planning also plays an active role in identifying and quantifying international growth opportunities. By building solid business cases and performing “deep dive” studies, she/he brings sound recommendations to the International Management Committee to expand globally.

The ideal candidate must be structured and organized, good with numbers and able to think strategically. Her/his ability to connect with and influence various stakeholders will be a key asset.

The Responsibilities Are
  • International Strategic Planning
    • Own the “M25” (Mission 25) plan of the international division.
      • Establish and maintain the strategic plan, roadmap and resource planning
      • Deploy and run the strategic governance and reviews (strategic priorities, growth opportunities, roadmap & resources allocation, etc)
      • Define KPIs and deploy dashboards to track performance vs plan
      • Ensure strong coordination with regions and global functions
    • Act as a “gate keeper” of the international strategic portfolio governance, facilitating prioritization of initiatives and ensuring focus on key priorities
    • Supports the preparation of presentations to senior management
  • Lead strategic studies
    • Run “deep dive” studies on focused market and/or product lines, quantifying the opportunity and defining the best strategy to capture it
    • Adequately involve other teams and regions in the process
    • Share findings and recommendations to the International Management Committee
    • When applicable, actively support the teams and regions with their deployment plan
  • Identify new business opportunities
    • Monitor market trends to identify new opportunities
    • In coordination with the global teams and the International Management Committee, build sound business cases on new business segments or opportunities
    • Supports the International Management Committee with the evaluation of potential acquisitions opportunities
Your Qualifications And Skills
  • University or business school degree
  • 5+ years of professional experience in strategic planning, business strategy or consulting roles
  • Experience in running strategic studies and building strategic plan or roadmaps
  • Fluent spoken and written English - any other language is a plus
  • Excellent MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Experience with Advanced analytics or BI tools is a plus
  • Strategic thinking and strong business acumen
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, synthesize and interpret detailed data
  • Strong team player, with a positive attitude
  • Excellent communication skills, able to adapt to various audiences
  • Ability to prioritize and focus on the critical issues
  • High degree of ownership, self-initiative and follow through
  • High-level of motivation and drive
