Your Key Responsibilities

As part of the Finance department of the European headquarters of a mid-cap manufacturing company, you will have to perform a wide range of financial accounting & reporting, as well as internal control tasks for multiple legal entities across Europe.

Responsibilities
  • Monthly closing activities (not an exhaustive list):
    • Bank & inter-company reconciliation
    • Inventory controlling, analysis & reporting
    • Freight & customs accrual analysis
    • Accounts receivable analysis & reporting
  • Reporting:
    • Financial reporting in the consolidation system
    • Balance sheet analysis
    • Foreign exchange gain or loss analysis
  • Internal controls
    • Execute and monitor internal controls
    • Review and implement new internal controls to meet audit requirements
  • Support on internal and/or external audits
    • Prepare the required information
    • Review and answer auditors’ inquiries
  • Statutory financial statements & income tax returns
    • Coordinate statutory accounts preparation with external consultants
    • Prepare and/or review adjustments from IFRS to local GAAPs
  • VAT returns
    • Ensure proper invoices’ codification
    • Prepare and review VAT return filings to authorities
Your Qualifications And Skills
  • Confirmed accounting qualifications (HEC, HEG or brevet fédéral)
  • First experience in accounting (internship or within a company)
  • French and English languages, both oral and written
  • Confirmed knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of a ERP system specifically SAP an asset
  • Knowledge of IFRS an asset
  • Previous experience in auditing and/or in a mid to large cap company an asset
  • Team player, strong results orientation, attention to details, collaborative, curious
This position is located in Lausanne, Switzerland.
