Job Description

At Corporate Reporting within Group Finance, we work across a wide range of business functions and all management levels to ensure that we execute the strategic design and implementation of the Group’s Business Performance Management process. In partnership with our key stakeholders, we work to create cutting-edge reporting + analytics solutions, using our deep functional expertise. We aim to drive business intelligence (BI) initiatives enabling the business to take informed decisions to protect and enhance shareholder value. As a BI Analyst, you contribute to the team’s success by actively shaping and continuously maintaining our strategic BI and Analytics platform.
  • Design and operationalization of efficient Reporting and Analytics solutions, both front- and back-end (Cubeware, Infor BI, Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services).
  • Develop data models and design data flows within Microsoft AS.
  • Consulting of various business functions by bridging the gap between the business and IT to ensure that business requirements are understood and met.
  • Monitoring and evaluation of new capabilities along the Group’s performance management process. This includes making recommendations on which features to implement, in order to enhance user experience and drive optimization of the platform.
  • Writing technical documentation and coordinate testing activities.
  • Providing day-to-day 2nd level support which includes troubleshooting data and integration issues with down- and upstream systems.
  • Identifying training needs and providing technical training.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field, preferably in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or Business Administration with a technical focus.
  • Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in the end-to-end implementation of BI solutions.
  • Practical knowledge in database management systems like Microsoft SQL Server. Proficient in SQL and MDX.
  • Sound experience with BI tools like Cubeware or Infor BI.
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Excel to perform analysis and data preparation tasks.
  • Fluent in English, German and any other language is an advantage.
  • Outstanding written, verbal communication skills and business partner management capabilities, ability to effectively collaborate and build positive relationships across all levels.
  • High level of integrity, sense of urgency, attention to detail and quality standards. You should be able to take on added responsibilities as required and become a knowledge carrier within the team

Additional Information

This position reports to the Head of Corporate Reporting and is based at the Corporate Headquarters in Basel, Switzerland.
