As a BI Engineer you will report to the Project Delivery Lead and be responsible for the delivery of the Global Sustainability reporting, analytics, and visualization tools on Big Data technologies. You will be the main IT point of contact for various reportings, disclosures and analytics solutions regarding carbon footprint, sustainable financing, and sustainable investments. This will entail:

  • Analyzing and documenting BI requirements and technical specifications
  • Developing BI reports and dashboards
  • Contributing to the Sustainability reporting data ontology and the data model
  • Complying with architecture, legal, and project management guidelines and policies
  • Testing of the BI applications
  • Supporting production support and business for root cause analysis and ad-hoc requests

You will join a highly qualified and motivated IT team, operating in Zurich, Lausanne, and Pune and work very closely with the Product Owner and the Global Sustainability Business. The role is well suited for a detail oriented and hands-on individual who enjoys working effectively with cross-functional teams (internal subject matter experts, data suppliers, release management).


Your skills and experience


The Global Sustainability Tech team is seeking for a BI Engineer with strong analytical and technical skills who thrives in a large and complex global environment with multiple applications, components, frameworks, processes, and technologies.

Required skills:

  • 5+ years delivering end-to-end BI solutions, ideally in a large and complex IT environment
  • Experience in delivering complex BI solutions (visualizations, calculations, time series)
  • Advanced skills with BI tools like Tableau, Qlik.
  • Experience in security access management for BI tools
  • Strong hand in writing Stories, wireframe, technical design
  • System performance tuning skills
  • BI data modelling, OLAP
  • Experience in data issue troubleshooting
  • Understand the value of diversity in the workplace and is dedicated to fostering an inclusive culture in all aspects of working life so that people from all backgrounds receive equal treatment

Desirable skills:

  • Experience in the field of software engineering
  • Experience / knowledge DevOps CI/CD tools preferably Jenkins and Transporter
  • IT/Business Knowledge in the area of Finance
  • Knowledge in Data Architecture, Data Management
  • Knowledge / Interest in Climate Change and Sustainable Finance
  • Experience in agile requirements with Scrum and SAFe frameworks
